Presentation of the data management cluster

LORD in the national ecosystem

The LORD (Lille Open Research Data) data management cluster is a local support initiative in the North of France. The LORD data management cluster is part of a network of data management clusters in the Recherche Data Gouv ecosystem. These data management clusters are located close to research teams in order to provide them with a basic level of expertise in good management of research data.

LORD at a glance

LORD is a data management cluster run by the University of Lille in association with UPHF, IMT Nord-Europe, Centrale Lille, Institut Pasteur de Lille, Lille University Hospital (CHU de Lille), University of Liège, INRAE, INRIA, CNRS and ENSAM.

LORD is multidisciplinary and is designed to complement local ‘thematic hubs’:

The LORD data management cluster brings together and mutualises the various support initiatives in your institutions to create a single point of entry that is more consistent with the reality of multi-disciplinary teams and partnerships in your research units.

LORD offers comprehensive, tailor-made support for research units in the Lille area in all areas relating to the management and dissemination of research data, codes and software. This support takes the form of several actions designed to cover all the teams' needs.

Our commitments

To meet your needs, our services can be structured on four different levels:

  • Discover the issues involved in good management and dissemination of research data, code, and software through presentations in your research units, events, tutorials, and communication tools.

  • Personalised advice via the single contact form that brings together our team and directs you to the right contact person to find answers to your questions (drafting or proofreading a data management plan, data dissemination options, citing source code, etc.).

  • Co-creation of practical resources or implementation of measures to manage your productions (development of a management plan for your organisation or unit, creation of practical information sheets for your unit, organisation of events, etc.)

  • A comprehensive range of training courses and workshops with experts on various topics and in a variety of formats to better meet your needs.
